What is a Dual Idler®?
Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.

Different Gear Reductions For Different Ride Styles
You can choose between 30%, 45%, and 60% gear reductions. Match your gear reduction to the way you ride for perfectly balanced power and speed. If you like to hit the gas and fly on the trails, go with 30%. For mud and rocks, go with 45%. If you’re rocking massive tires and want to make sure you always come out of the bounty hole first, go with the maximum 60% gear reduction.

GDP Portals Put Less Strain on Your Drivetrain
GDP Portals give you a gear reduction in the hub instead of the transmission. This reduces the wear and tear on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission. Portals also maintain factory suspension geometry to keep your CVs happy and cool. Your RZR’s most vital parts will last longer.

The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get
We make your backing plates with a premium steel alloy that’s stronger than chromoly and built for incredibly high-force applications. At 5/16” thick, these plates are tough enough to hold your suspension and portals together no matter how you ride.

Advanced Gaskets and Seals
Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:

  • Advanced gaskets with excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
  • Rubber O-rings that completely seal the housings
  • A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
  • 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks

Bearings That Rock
The smallest details on GDP are built to be bulletproof because we know from experience that you can’t cut corners anywhere. That’s why our output bearing is a double-angular contact bearing that will survive heavy hits and big bumps and keep your wheels riding true.

Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors
Our precision-ground, stainless steel slotted rotors stay cool to give you the braking power you need when you need it. They come with 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs so you can use almost any side-by-side wheel on these portals. We made them that way to make your life easier. We invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to. It provides a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time.

Reinforce Your UTV with a Frame Stiffener
We highly recommend running a SuperATV Frame Stiffener with your 8" Portal Gear Lift. Your stock RZR Turbo S frame is tough, but it’s not tough enough to handle going this big. Get a frame stiffener and get piece of mind that your machine will hold together when the pedal’s down.

Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The given tires sizes are the largest we fit without rubbing. With minor trimming or a small amount of rub, larger tire sizes can be used.

Wheel Requirements:

  • 18” or larger wheel required
  • 20” and larger wheels cannot exceed 5” backspacing
  • Wheels need to have a center hole of at least 3.25" (82.55mm) or require a 1” wheel spacer
